Eu posso dizer que sou viciada em patches. Tudo começou quando era miúda e tinha uma panca pela Finlândia e sobretudo pelos finlandeses. Não era de admirar, pois uma das minhas bandas favoritas era de lá. No entanto passado algum tempo depois de ter personalizado a minha mochila da escola com a bandeira da Finlândia, o emblema não sobreviveu e caiu (ele tinha sido colocado com o ferro). Só anos mais tarde quando comprei esta mochila da foto, decidi coze-lo à mochila. E agora por cada país que vou passando vou colocando um emblema na mochila!
I can say that I have a patch addiction. It all started when I was a teen and had a crush for Finland and especially for the Finish guys, specially because one of my favorite bands was from there. However spent some time after having customized my school backpack with the flag of Finland, the badge did not survive and fell (it had been glue with the iron). Only years later when I bought this backpack from the photo, I decided to put it again in my backpack. And now for every country I visit I sew a patch in my backpack!
No entanto, a moda dos patches invadiu tudo o que é loja ultimamente. Desde o verão do ano passado (acho eu), a moda dos patches veio para ficar, pois ainda hoje vejo à venda nas lojas tanto patches como roupa com patches.
Mas hoje venho apelar ao uso se patches!
Mas, atenção, apenas os patches. Aposto que tens uma t-shirt no armário que já não vestes e está pronta para deitar fora... Vai pegar nela e cola-lhe uns patches! Em vês de comprares uma t-shirt nova. Isto porque se calhar nunca pensaste que a compra de uma t-shirt pode afectar a tua pegada ecológica, Pois além de precisares cerca de 20,000 litros de água para se obter uma t-shirt (algodão) e um par de calças jeans, também temos que pensar na matéria prima, pois as fibras sintéticas são feitas de carbono, que vem do petróleo.
Obviamente que também vais afectar a tua pegada ecológica com a compra dos patches, mas a dimensão será menor. No fundo quero alertar e incentivar ao consumo consciente.

No meu caso tinha um casaco de ganga que ficou com umas nódoas que estavam difíceis de sair. Então peguei nuns patches e coloquei nas zonas onde estavam as manchas. O que poupei? Poupei um belo casaco de ir para o lixo!
In my case I had a denim jacket that got stains that were hard to wash them out. So I took some patches and put them in the areas where the stains were. What did I spare? I saved a nice coat from going to waste!
